What Franchise to Buy and How to Buy a Franchise

A lot has been written about the benefits if you buy a franchise, but what franchise to buy is the right one for you?  What do experts consider the best franchises out there and available in Atlanta?  Do you need to go through an Atlanta area franchise broker?  These are all very important questions that need to be contemplated before for making any financial investment into a new franchise opportunity.  This article will address some of the most frequently asked questions and guide you towards finding what are the best choices when you want to buy a franchise opportunity in Atlanta.

Buy a Franchise Atlanta Question #1:  Why Buy a Franchise?

At the most basic level, when you buy a franchise it gives you the right to operate a business using the brand and operations plan of the parent company (the Franchisor).  In exchange, you pay them an upfront franchise fee and an ongoing royalty that is usually calculated as a percentage of gross sales.  What do you get when you buy a franchise?  It’s pretty simple…  a franchise like McDonald’s has a lot of things going for it:  the best known hamburger brand in the world, a well defined concept and operations model, enormous influence and buying power, training and support, and great resale value potential.  So isn’t McDonald’s what franchise everyone should choose?  The down side is that a new McDonald’s franchise is very hard franchise to buy and requires a very substantial financial investment (over $1 Million).  The other downside when you buy a franchise is the control maintained by the franchisor.  They have a brand to protect and high standards to maintain.  This gives the local Atlanta franchisee very little creativity and flexibility.  No adding a new “Atlanta Burger” to the menu without a whole lot of red tape.

Buy a Franchise Atlanta Question #2:  What do Experts Say are the Best Franchises?

Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2012 - 2023 Franchise 500® features a list of what franchises made the Top 10 Best Franchises for 2012.  That list (from number ten to number one) includes: Dunkin’ Donuts, Pizza Hut, H & R Block, Denny’s, McDonald’s, Days Inn, Servpro, 7-Eleven, Subway and Hampton Hotels.  This is a great list of potential opportunities and they are considered some of the best franchises based on their growth, earnings, franchisee satisfaction, and reputation.

Buy a Franchise Atlanta Question #3:  Do I need to use an Atlanta Area Franchise Broker?

You may not need to, but you should.  A qualified franchise broker from the Atlanta area can be a tremendous help in finding the best franchise to buy.  A franchisor might have a direct sales team and you may be able to contact them directly.  But, they have only one goal in mind… get you to buy a franchise from them, not necessarily the best franchise for you.  An Atlanta area franchise broker can help you assess your situation, skills, finances, interests and match that with their information about is best for you when you buy a franchise.  This is truly a no-brainer because the broker will most likely be paid a commission from the franchisor when you buy a franchise and will come at no cost to you.

So, what franchise to buy is best in Atlanta?  It is the one that’s right for you!  Let an Atlanta area franchise broker find the best franchise opportunity to meet your needs, skills, and interests.  It will surely pay off in a more enjoyable search and ownership experience when you do buy a franchise.

Excellent article. While many of those can be brekon down to B2B and B2C the home health care industry is even more complex. Most do non-medical services. Few do non-medical and medical services. There are more than 14 home health care franchises to choose from. Its a growing industry and can be hard to figure out which is the best for a potential franchisee.VA:F [1.9.11_1134]please wait…VA:F [1.9.11_1134](from 0 votes)
